Cowboy from the Past...

My first before and after post. I did this for a contest to see if I could come up with a different idea for the same photo that multiple people were also working on. I kind of like the rustic look of the crinkled paper and the way the cowboy looks like he's staring far off toward the horizon. Maybe he's wondering where he's headed next.

Let me ride the rails again...

This is an old railroad bridge in Wichita Falls. Air travel has made train travel a thing of the past.

Too Young to be Alone...

Shunned by my Mama, left alone
At only five weeks old.
This dark damp alley is my home
I'm lonely, scared and cold.
I need someone to love me,
Hold me close and keep me warm
Pluck me from this scary place,
Keep me safe from any harm.
I'm tiny but I have a heart
As big as big can be.
Can't you find it in your heart
To please come rescue me?

Angels Unaware...

Working on some photos to get some ideas for pictures to post on Etsy. My sister and I are going to try our hands at selling some of our photography.

Mama Shirley's Hibiscus...

My best friend's Mama has a green thumb. She took these hibiscus that were dug up from Lockheed and replanted them. They looked pretty sad when she first got them but boy look at them now.

Old American Metal...

This old car belongs to the Dad of one of my friends. It used to be that the hood ornament told something about the car itself, back when cars were made completely of metal and not plastic and fiberglass. I don't know of any cars anymore that have hood ornaments. Kinda sad the things that have faded into the past...

Signs of Summer...

These are some of the things that define summer for me. Making wishes on dandelions, the noise of the locusts at sunset and snails. I miss those lazy days of summer when we were kids.

And the thunder rolls...

The wind is blowing and the sky is cloudy. Thunderstorms are coming our way. Nothing more relaxing than a good book and a rainy day. Come on rain.

Follow The Sun

This is the sun going down right outside Henrietta. I was on my way home for my nephew's graduation from high school. Two endings, the end of the day and the end of silly and fun high school days. The sun rose again at the start of a brand new day and the start of brand new adventures for Ryan. The sun stays the same but life changes daily.
